About the Journalist
Every story begins somewhere, and mine began in southeastern Colorado, a place where history, community, and resilience shape the rhythm of everyday life. My name is Ronald Hernandez Jr., and I am a data journalist, creative consultant, and founder of Arkitekt Creations, the parent brand behind Ark News.
My path into journalism wasn’t a straight line. It started with a love for storytelling, sharpened through a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Full Sail University, where I earned the Course Directors Award in Film for script writing and editing. That foundation taught me how to build narratives that resonate not just with readers, but with communities.
Today, I’m continuing my education through a Master of Fine Arts in New Media Journalism, expanding my skills in digital reporting, multimedia production, and data‑driven storytelling. My work blends traditional journalism values with modern tools, always guided by the principles of the Society of Professional Journalists: seek truth, report it, minimize harm, act independently, and remain accountable.
The Work I Do
As CEO and Creative Consultant at Arkitekt Creations, I’ve built a multimedia brand from the ground up. I’ve produced journalism, advertising, and digital content for local and regional audiences, and I’ve led creative campaigns that generated measurable engagement including a cross‑platform strategy that increased viewership by over 1000% through Meta Business analytics.
Ark News grew out of that momentum. It became a home for the stories that matter most to southeastern Colorado: historical features, community profiles, investigative reporting, and cultural preservation. Through Ark News, I’ve interviewed leaders like Mayor Joe Ayala, documented local traditions, analyzed decades of housing data, and published historical work marking Colorado’s 150th anniversary and the nation’s 250th.
My reporting also extends into deeper issues including investigations into foster care neglect, where I’ve compiled credible case data and agency findings to highlight systemic concerns affecting vulnerable families.

Arkitekt Creations continues to grow. Alongside Ark News, I’m developing mPaKt Gaming, a gaming‑focused extension of the brand that blends storytelling, entertainment, and community engagement.
